There is not a solid definition of what a whole food plant based diet is.

Generally speaking, and for PLANT CHEF CLUB, it is a diet consisting of:
  • whole fruits
  • vegetables
  • tubers
  • grains and legumes
  • and entirely excludes all meat, dairy and eggs.
It also excludes refined products such as anything made from white flour, sugar, honey, and processed oils as well as processed foods in general. Minimally processed foods such as tofu, tempeh and whole grain flours are allowed, in addition to plant based sweeteners such as maple syrup, coconut sugar, agave syrup and brown rice syrup.

THE SHORT ANSWER IS  YES!

PLANT CHEF CLUB RECIPES ARE NOT IN ANY WAY ANIMAL BASED.

TO BE PLANT CHEF CLUB WHOLE FOOD PLANT BASED, OUR RECIPES ARE USING INGREDIENTS WHICH ARE AT MOST ONLY MINIMALLY PROCESSED ( LIKE TOFU AND ALMOND MILK FOR EXAMPLE).

WE DO THIS TO MOVE TOWARD A VERY HEALTHY DIRECTION

FOR CLARITY, IT MAY BE HELPFUL TO TAKE THIS VIEW:

NOT ALL VEGANS ARE WHOLE FOOD PLANT BASED

AND

THOSE WHO EAT WHOLE FOOD PLANT BASED MAY OR MAY NOT BE 100% VEGAN

THIS IS BECAUSE VEGANS EXTEND THEIR LIFESTYLE TO FOOD AND NON FOOD ITEMS ( SUCH AS TEXTILES, PAPER PRODUCTS OR COSMETICS)
