This burger has all the flavor of a Reuben sandwich without any guilt!  Pile high with sauerkraut and our delicious Thousand Island Dressing, this will make any Reuben lover a believer in the power of plants!    

1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
½ cup cooked brown rice
½ cup onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 pkg extra-firm tofu, broken into large chunks
½ tsp celery seeds
½ tsp caraway seeds
¾ tsp salt
½ tsp dry marjoram
¾ tsp ground ginger
¼ tsp ground nutmeg
½ tsp ground cardamom
2 TBSP red wine vinegar
1 TBSP vegan Worcestershire sauce
¼ cup flat-leaf parsley, chopped
To serve:
Tofu Thousand Island Dressing 
Toasted hamburger buns

In a food processor grind together oats, rice, onions and garlic until finely chopped.  Dump into a large bowl and set aside.

To the food processor bowl, add the tofu, spices, vinegar and Worcestershire.  Blend until smooth.  Dump into the bowl with the oats and add the parsley.  Mix well.

Preheat oven to 425°.  Line a baking sheet with parchment or a baking mat.
Wet your hands slightly with water.  Divide mixture into 4 even portions.  Shape into patties and place on baking sheet.  If you want to make sliders, divide into 8 portions and shape.

Bake 15 minutes, flip and bake another 15 minutes or until they feel dry to the touch and firm.  Serve on toasted buns spread with the dressing and pile with warmed sauerkraut.  Top with the other half of the bun.

Add some thinly sliced onions to the sauerkraut while it's warming to add another layer of flavor to this amazing burger.
